Rabbits Hutches
How to Create the Prefect Home for your RabbitRabbits are extraordinary within our society as they are one of the few animals that are viewed as food by some people and as pets as others. The number of homes that have indoor rabbits has been increasing at such a pace that there now exists a House Rabbit Society organization to distribute useful information about how rabbits may be kept safely and in a fit manner within a home situation. One attribute about rabbits that interferes with them enjoying free run within a home is their tendency for chewing. Although rabbits can be successfully trained to use a litter box, it is more challenging for them to be convinced not to chew such things as furniture legs and electrical wires. This is why many owners of house rabbits seek an indoor hutch or rabbit cage in which their long-eared pets may be kept when they cannot be supervised. According to the House Rabbit Society, a rabbit's housing should provide several things. They need to be able to totally stretch out in all directions. They require at least two levels, so they may jump up and down for work out. They need a supply of food, especially hay, as well as water. And, of course, a litter box is needed. A modern trend in building indoor rabbit hutches is to make a "bunny condo" out of modular storage cube squares. Many hardware and home furnishing stores sell 14-inch square wire cube components for making modular storage units. These squares can be used to construct a multi-level rabbit house that provides sufficient space for all the requirements as specified by the House Rabbit Society.
Building a rabbit condo that is three squares wide, three squares high and two squares deep will create an area measuring more than 28 cubic feet in capacity. This is far more spacious than the normal dog carrier that many people use for housing their indoor rabbits. When building a rabbit condo, several other considerations should be kept in mind. The bare wire floor should never be used by itself, but should be covered with a material such as plywood. For easiness in cleaning, covering the flooring and shelving with vinyl tiles or linoleum is recommended. However, it should not be too slippery a surface, as rabbit feet were intended for hopping on natural earth and grass, not on smooth artificial surfaces. Several plans for rabbit condos are now accessible across the Internet, and most of them would give all the safety, security and living space a house rabbit needs. Still, they cannot be locked away all the time. Even a rabbit in a fancy condo wants to get out into the house for some good exercise including running and jumping for quite a few hours at a time.

Is there a way to find out who keeps calling Social Services on me?
Before I go any further, I want to say that there is nothing wrong with my son's quality of life. He lives with both his parents, who maintain jobs and education, in a nice, clean, warm house and he is always fed, changed and clean. He is not neglected, abused or mistreated in ANY way.
To the point, someone has phoned Social Services on me and my fiancee 4 times, to be exact, accusing us of not feeding our son, not cleaning him and keeping him in the same clothes all the time and (this is the best one) making him sleep in the rabbit hutch, outside. Like I said, he is well looked after, me and my fiancee are wonderful parents and we would never, ever hurt him in any way. Anyway, because of the number of calls, Social Services are now monitoring us, someone has to visit our house for 4 hours a day and they have gotten in contact with our child minder and she now has to fill out a a report, twice a week about us and our son.
Frankly, I find it disgusting that someone is doing this and there are a number of people that it could be that keeps calling them. My biggest suspects are:
-My mum (I won't allow her to see my son because she threw me out and tried to purposely cause me to have a miscarriage multiple times);
-My fiancee's sister (she's convinced that I deliberately got pregnant so that my fiancee wouldn't leave me)
-One of my teachers (I reported her for telling the other teachers that I'd apparently slept with both of her sons and her nephew, not true, by the way, and she then proceeded to phone my fiancee multiple times and told him this also, just to add, my fiancee is bipolar and has mild paranoid schizophrenia, the woman is INSANE).
I have also explained this to Social Services and I understand that they're just doing their job but these past few weeks have honestly been horrible, people are saying things about me and my fiancee, it's putting a bit of a strain on our relationship and all of this is affecting my grades which are crucial at the moment seeing as I'm leaving school in 3 months.
Is there any way at all to find out who is doing this to us? I know about the whole confidentiality thing but this is beyond a joke, who ever's doing this isn't just messing with my life, they're messing with my fiancee health, our education and performance at our jobs and people's opinions of us.
Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
@Julie
My mum would do this because she hates my guts and isn't a particularly good mum, herself. I was in foster care for a long time because she neglected me, when I told her I was pregnant, she tried to spike my drinks with gin and tried to push me downstairs twice. She threw me out and after all that I still allowed her to come to her grandchild's birth where she hit me on the head for crying at how painful the contractions were then SUDDENLY when he was born, she wanted to be apart of my life and see my son. I don't think so, I wouldn't trust her with a nail file, that's why she would sink that low, because for once, I said no and she hasn't gotten her own way.

How do i prevent mice from entering my rabbits hutch?
Well, I have two rabbits that i absolutely love and adore and one day my mam was feeding them food and she find a mouse hiding under their food bowl. Then she said that she didn't like the fact that they were attracting mice and she wanted to give them away. Then today I was giving my rabbits some food and i saw three mice running away from hiding underneath my rabbit's foodbowl, which absolutely scared the living daylight out of me. I'm afraid to tell my mam this because I'm afraid she'll want to or give them away. I really really really don't want them attracting mice because 1) I'm terrified of them 2) For my rabbits sake 3) they have diseases and 4) its just horrible! Is their any way i can stop the mice from entering the hutch so my mam doesn't have to give them away? Please please please answer :(
Note*: Their hutch is OUTSIDE in my back yard, there is no room for it inside my house :(
It's a hutch attatched to a run with netting on the top to stop cats getting in but mice are small enough to sqeeze in through the bars of the run :(
