Is it creepy to meet someone at the park?
I was talking to this girl on meetup.com and she attends a hiking group and sometimes I would want to meet people at the park near the basketball courts so especially today, it was so cold and I felt like a creep just sitting there on a bench and people were walking past with dogs and one guy asked: "Uh excuse me. are you looking for someone?" and I said: "Well I am supposed to meet somewhere here." and he shook his head when him and his girl walked with their dog and said to his girlfriend in a whisper and I still heard him: "Jez. That guy looks like a creepy pedophile!" and I thought: "shut up! You dont even know me!" and I dont think there is anything wrong with just sitting on the bench. I was even texting so I would look like I am doing something and not staring at the childrens playground because the bench I wanted to meet her at was by the basketball courts and it was across from the childrens playground and I had a hat and a heavy jacket and I really thought I looked like a creep just sitting there and walking around looking for her. And she didnt let me have her cell phone so there was something wrong with that and I couldnt get a hold of her and she never showed up! She just told me to look for her with a black lab and I didnt see her so I went home because I looked like a weirdo meeting her! I felt scared because I didnt want to look suspicious. So whats your thoughts on this? Also while I am at it, do people in ski hats that are round and blue where you wear in the winter and put around your head and ears, do they make someone look like a robber or just a skiier? I am trying to find better ways of dressing up in the winter and walking around so I am not just sitting there in a cold like a bum if I meet someone at the park looking like a creep.

Am I being a controlling wife?
My husband and I have a 3 year old son. About a year ago he joined this hiking group that he found online. I am not as into hiking as him. I went a few times and everyone in the group are unmarried and don't have kids and hate kids. They are all young and COOL or think they're COOLER. Anyway, I'm having a problem with him going on these hikes. Am I being a controlling wife? He works full time, takes 2 classes, and the one day of the week that he has free he goes an an ALL DAY hiking trip with people who never want to get married and think kids are annoying.

Then the girl was like ohhh okay then I won't say anything. SHE WAS ABOUT TO MAKE A BUNCH OF RUDE COMMENTS ABOUT KIDS LIKE THEY'RE SO AWFUL AND ANNOYING CREATURES! My husband goes hiking with these l0sers about once or twice a month. Am I supposed to be okay with this???
