Camping Supplies

Using the proper, high quality outdoor gear is the key to having a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience. Whether you're hiking 100 miles, hunting deer, or just camping with friends, nothing ruins a good time faster than broken or unusable equipment. Camping supplies are much easier to find now in everyday stores, but many beginning campers make the mistake of buying whichever tent their local store sells. These tents are usually very low quality, made with inferior materials, and easy to break.

By buying a high quality tent, you can camp in almost any situation and trust that your tent will hold up. It's also possible to find much more durable and protective tents by shopping with an experienced outdoor gear dealer. Tents are available that provide protection from below freezing temperatures, that can be pitched on the side of a steep hill, or that shed water extremely well for wet conditions. These kinds of tents can't be found in most big box stores.

Even occasional or hobby campers should invest in a decent quality tent. Camping in one of the lower quality dome tents is not always the most fun experience. Leaks are common, as well as drafts from poorly placed netting or badly sewn seams. Many beginners assume that when camping in a tent, it's just not possible to be comfortable. But once they get a chance to spend the night in a real camper's tent, they find out that it's simply not true.

Eureka Tents makes some of the highest quality solo or double occupancy tents on the market today. The company was founded in 1895, and has produced tents for use in World War 2. Tents from Eureka are trustworthy, and designed to withstand fairly extreme weather conditions. But Eureka also produces higher occupancy tents, up to 7 people, for less rugged experiences. These tents are still very well made, and of a much higher quality than you will find in the sports section of a large store.

Of course, a tent is only one of the camping supplies a well prepared outdoor enthusiast needs. A portable water filter is a great thing to have, especially if camping or hiking far into unpopulated forest or National Parks. Prepared hikers always pack enough water, but it's possible to lose the packed water, for the containers to break open and spill, or for the water to become polluted and dangerous to drink. Carrying a portable water filter can be the difference between life and death, especially on long hikes.

These small and portable filters can remove particles, sediment, and bacteria out of any water source. This makes the water cleaner than simply boiling, and works faster and without a fire. By carrying a water filter a hiker can shed the weight of heavy and cumbersome water containers, and can keep moving while drinking instead of stopping to build a fire at every stream or river. Filtering bags with a drip line can also be bought for established camps, and can hold up to 50 gallons of filtered water at a time. The hanging bag also protects the water from being re-contaminated or spilled.

Hunting, Shooting, Camping Supplies sells discount crossbows, gun accessories including safes and cases, Eureka tents, rifle scopes, knives and tools, and other outdoor gear from top manufacturers.

what was the movie called?
ok so i want to watch this movie that i saw when i was little but i don't remember the name. This movie appeared on family channel in like 2004. So there was this kid and he wanted to try out for some type of team and once he did, he didn't make the cut. but when he got home his mom already bought him camping gear to go on the trip with the team.. so he told her that he made the team and then he sneaked in the back of the bus and hid there, but then kidnappers stopped the bus and held the kids for ransom and there was this one rich girl but nobody knew that the kid was hiding there so he's running around the forest trying to save his classmates... does anybody know what its called? i think it has the word "hero" in the title...?

Can the school look at my sons court records?
Three weeks ago my son (11y/o) was held down by one kid (13y/o) while another kid (11y/o) punched him. After that happened another kid (12y/o) spit on his jacket. He came home a grabbed a pocket knife, I had in our camping gear he went back out and held the open knife out on the kid who spit on him. Two kids ran to my house and came and got me, I ran outside grab the knife and my son. He was and still is punished for this incident, He is in MAJOR trouble I am still shocked he even did this. The 12y/o's dad (mother lost custody of this child) called the cops and they showed up at my house. They talked to my son and decided that nothing was going to happened with this incident because of what the other kids did to him first. My son was wrong and how he reacted to this situation was way out of line. He has been advised to no longer talk to these boys at the bus stop (my son is not allowed outside afterschool for the time being), but this 12 y/o is constantly antagonizing him and two other kids. He is calling them names on the bus and making fun of them. Yesterday my son tells me that another kid threw a book-bag on the 12 y/o antagonizer after they got off the bus, (my daughter and two other boys confirmed this to be the case). My son and another kid were both there at the time. Today when my son gets home he tells me that him, his friend and the kid who threw the book-bag all got lunch detention for the incident. I am upset because of a few things....... First off the school did not call me. Second the school told my 11 y/o son that they pulled up his record and found out about the knife incident. Thirdly the antagonizer did not get in trouble for anything he did. I called the school but the guidance counselor left for the day, I of course left a message for her to call me Monday. But I decided to go down to the school first thing Monday morning. Before I go I want to get some advice and information. Does the school have the ability to pull up my sons juvenile record? And does he even have a record if the police decided that both parties were at fault for the situation and did nothing about it? Why are they punishing all the kids except for the one that started all this? I lived here for three years so have all the other kids, nothing like has ever happened until this new kid moved in. Am I wrong for thinking he is the one to blame for this? What advise can other parents give me?

Do they make 8 oz. propane canisters that work with Coleman camping gear?
I know alot of the Coleman products like camping lanterns, stoves, etc. work on standard 1 lb. (16 oz.) propane canisters, but these are a bit bulky in some applications. Does anyone make half-size (8 oz.) canisters that will work just as well? Thanks.
