Arthritis Symptoms

The symptoms of fatigue and joint pain, are associated with a great deal of illnesses and diseases, ranging from the common flu to serious autoimmune diseases like lupus or thyroid disorders.

The symptoms that are most associated with arthritis are those of fatigue and joint pain.

So if you are experiencing any problems that you think to be arthritis, consult your primary health care provider before making any attempts at self medication.

Although a diagnosis of arthritis may be troubling, know that although there is no cure known today for the disease, there are a great many treatment options available to deal with the fatigue and joint pain so that you can reclaim your life.

Generally speaking, arthritis is a condition of inflammation around the joints in a sufferer's body.

Any joint is open to being affected by arthritis, but the usually affected areas include the hands, knees, shoulders, and back.

When the area becomes inflamed, the joints swell, causing a great deal of pain and often an overall feeling of stiffness.

Usually, arthritis causes an individual to lose a certain amount of mobility, whether it is an inability to grasp items or complete a given task due to a restricted range of motion.

Quite often, individuals who suffer from fatigue and joint pain are forced to give up favorite activities simply because their bodies are unable to perform tasks they once enjoyed.

This can include hobbies that require fine motor work, such as needlework, gardening, or painting.

Instead of letting arthritis rule your life, take a stance and fight back. There are many over the counter and prescription medications that can reduce inflammation and restore lost mobility.

Consult your primary health care provider to ensure any medications--including those that are advertised as all natural--will not interact with any current medications or medical issues that you may be experiencing.

Another way to ward off the affects of arthritis is to ensure your body is in proper health.

Work to maintain a healthy, well balanced diet that includes all necessary vitamins and nutrients.

Exercise at least twice a week and consider taking ancient forms of exercise like yoga or Tai Chi.

Shoulder Problems??
Hi everyone, I have had pain in my left shoulder for the last 4 years. What happend is I was run over by a car a little over four years ago, as a result I broke my collar bone which was never set properly (i was 17 and dumb) and since then I have gone through two sets of physical therapy. The most recent was six months ago and that helped with the stiffness but the pain will not go away. The pain radiates from the middle of the backside of the shoulder joint to the end of the blade and from the front down my arm. It is worse if I dont move my shoulder. I do know that I have some arthritis symptoms and have been taking some glucoseamine suppliments so that is helping with the snapping but I cant find a doctor that can tell me why it hurts all of the time. Cant sleep, barely able to raise it above my head and I have no strength in it. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is it normal for rheumatoid arthritis symptoms to be more severe on the dominant side of the body??
I know it is supposed to be symmetrical.... but what if the pain IS symmetrical, but a LOT worse on one side?? Does the disease always progress symmetrically over time??? What kind of poly-arthritis has symptoms similar to RA, but with pain and joint swelling significantly worse on the right side?? What kind of poly-arthritis causes rapid damage to joints (e.g. within one month my right index finger is considerably fatter and much more stiff than the left). I have read a bit about psoriatic arthritis, but I have never shown any symptoms of psoriasis. I have had random rashes pop up on my leg and chin. Cheeks were also itchy last night. FYI I have an appointment with a rheumatologist tomorrow, so I am not really looking for medical advice. Just, if anyone has heard of similar conditions, I would like to hear about them. I am 29 years old and I have had some problems for a couple of years. My symptoms got much worse before I got pregnant in 2007 (age 27), and got better during pregnancy. Now that my son is 5 mos they have returned and are MUCH WORSE than ever before.

Very good point
If I was Red Bull I would have done the same (tell Mark to hold position). The money in F1 is huge and ensuring Vettel gets the most points is vital. It would just be better if Red Bull admitted what they were doing...
